Turns, Twists, and Turning Points

Hi, I’m Rogelio — a designer with a knack for support, structure, and storytelling.

For eight years, I worked at Trader Joe’s, where I learned how to lead with empathy and keep things running smoothly. While working full-time, I earned my design degree from Cal State Northridge. In 2018, I stepped away to run my family’s food truck when my dad fell ill — managing the business for a year before the pandemic.

Graduating into uncertainty, I stayed at Trader Joe’s to support my family and took on freelance branding work when I could. I was preparing to step into a managerial role when a new opportunity knocked: Netflix’s ACCESS program with Otis College. I jumped at the chance to sharpen my creative skills and pivot toward entertainment marketing.

As my nine-month design apprenticeship at Gravillis Inc is coming to a wrap. I’m am now looking for coordinator roles where I can combine design instincts with behind-the-scenes hustle.

In my free time I'm most likely:
- at the movie theaters
- rockin’ your uncle’s Rocawear jeans
- at listening parties for early 2000s R&B
- patiently waiting for LACMA’s 17th
century paintings to be on display again
